Walnut Ridge - Beulah Fay Downum, 97, of Walnut Ridge passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Fay was born December 12, 1921 in Leachville to the late Noah and Clara Ball French. She was married to A.L. Downum for 76 years prior to his preceding her in death in 2015.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jeff Downum; grandson, Larry Lee Downum; two sisters and two brothers.

Fay is survived by a son, Larry Downum of Arizona; a daughter, Christy Brooks of Walnut Ridge; 7 grandchildren, Mike Brooks of Paragould, Steve Brooks of Oklahoma, Dawn Brooks of Jonesboro, Brandi Hamrock of Missouri, Jeremy Downum of Tennessee, Shane Downum of Texas, and Chera Atwall of California; 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, special sister-in-law and friend Bonnie Downum, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 10 AM-11 AM with a funeral service at 11 AM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Joshua Dement officiating. Graveside service will be at 3 PM at Leachville Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: son, Larry Downum; Grandsons, Jeremy Downum, Mike Brooks, and Steve Brooks; Grandson-in-Law, Jerry Hamrock; and Nephew, Melvin Downum.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Great Grandsons, Spencer Goff and Isaiah Atkins, and Nephew, Gary Downum.
