Mrs. Betty Mae Scercy of Harrisburg, departed this life Monday morning, February 13, 2017, at her home, at the age of 78.
She was born February 20, 1938 in Wardell, AR, the daughter of the late James Richard Coburn and Mae Bell Jackson Coburn.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Junior Scercy in 2012, two children Ray Bogard and Floyd Scercy, Jr, and two sisters, Pamela Dailey and Lou Done Turpin.
She is survived by five children, Rocky Coburn (Kathy) of Marvell, Janet Holt Collins (Terry) of Harrisburg, Bobby Bogard (Rita) of Swifton, David Scercy (Sarah) of Harrisburg, Tammie Lamb (Jackie) of Harrisburg, two sisters, Virginia Oneal of Marvell and Ann Gentry of Collinsville, MS, twenty two grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Bogard officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday , 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Scercy, Scott Scercy, Cliff Scercy, Michael Lamb, Joey Bogard, and Bobby Gene Bogard. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Scercy, Paul Bogard, Paul Holt, Marc Holt, Jeff Criswell, Jimmy Criswell and Allen Monroe.
