Obituary

Caraway- Betty Jean Sanders, 71, passed away January 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born October 27, 1944 in Riverside, California to the late Amos and Evelyn Hayes Adcock. She had worked at Lane's Nursing Home in Caraway and retired from American Greeting. She enjoyed gardening, going to church and being with family. Hardest working woman you would have ever meet and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Malcom Sanders; her children, Jerry Brown (Joyce) of Caraway, Larry Brown (Connie Smith) of Osceola, Donna Birdno (Ray) of Caraway and Janet Sharp (Curtis) of Lake City; stepchildren, Frank Bates (Renea) of Paragould, Phillip Wallace (Suzanne) of Monette, David Bates of Jonesboro and Mike Sanders (Felisha) of Caraway; sisters, Mary Hollis of Milligan Ridge, Linda Bowden (Foster) of Jonesboro, Brenda Gettleman (Wayne) of Illinois, Carolyn Wrinkles of Gosnell, Barbara Wallace (Gary) of Caraway; brothers, Loren Adcock (Nellie) of Jonesboro, Bill Adcock (Brenda) of Caraway, Rickie Adcock (Leah) of Jonesboro, Donnie Adcock (Sharon) of Jonesboro, Robert Adcock (Cheryl) of Caraway and Michael Adcock (Mitzi) of Manila; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Charles Brown. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Rivervale Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Duffell officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the church. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dwayne Gross, Matt Maddox, Dale Barrett, Curtis Sharp and Calvin Mullins and as honorary pallbearers, Jeremy Brown, Brad Dillinger, Chris Lane, Austin Lane, Adam Carpenter, Byron Forehand and members of the Rivervale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers lasting memorials may be sent to Rivervale Baptist Church.
