Jonesboro- Betty "West" Owens, 76, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born November 11, 1941 in Monette to the late Robert and Carmen Kackley Owens. She worked early at the shoe factory in Jonesboro and later attended Beauty School and worked as a beautician for many years in Jonesboro. She moved to Weiner and helped on the farm and then bought Greenfield Seed Company and operated that until 1980. She retired in the Ravenden and Pocahontas area. They also owned Classy Cars on Gee Street and several rental properties in Jonesboro. She loved to travel and they were snowbirds later in life. She enjoyed home deco work with brass.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni West Pope (Paul) of Jonesboro; a sister, Linda Norman of Newport; a brother, Bobby Owens (Janet) of Jonesboro; a granddaughter, Nicole Neugebauer of South Dakota; four great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, River, Sahara, Destin.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina West and longtime friend, George Turner.

A celebration of her life will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Wood officiating. Interment will follow at McDaniel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, October 19, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Spencer Duncan, John Norman, Mike Purifoy, Ethan Purifoy, Nicholas Prichard and Bryan Owens.
