Obituary

Betty Jean Lewis, 84, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as devoted wife of Selden Dwain Lewis, passed away January 11, 2021 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
She was born November 16, 1936, in Turrell, Arkansas, one of eleven children, to parents, George and Myrtle Steeley Weston.
She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Betty enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crafts, especially anything to do with her grandchildren or great grandchildren. She especially liked to laugh and make everyone feel welcome. She was proud of the years she spent working with Walmart having started her career in store #7 in North Little Rock Arkansas. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Selden of 52 years; three sisters, Aldene Weston King, Dorothy Weston MaGee, and Ruie Weston Harmon; four brothers, Carthell Weston, G.S. "Bill" Weston, Harold Weston and Aaron Weston.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by two children, Gary Dwain Lewis and his wife Pam of Sherwood, Arkansas and Kevin Paul Lewis and his wife Dawn of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; three sisters, Artie Weston McGlawn, Mavis Weston Easley and Edie Weston Allen; four grandchildren, Laura Lewis Hanson, Christopher Paul Lewis, Daniel Bryan Lewis, and Amy Marie Lewis; three great-grandchildren, Lila Claire Hanson, Jackson Paul Lewis, and Vivienne Rose Lewis.
A private graveside service will be held at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery, officiated by Gregg-Weston Funeral Home, in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
