Pocahontas - Bernice James, 96, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Randolph County Nursing Home. Born December 12, 1914 in Lake City, AR to the late Charlie and Oma Morris. She is also preceded in death by husband Chester James, son Charles James, two granddaughters Dana Gohn and Vickie Jackson, brothers Gene, James, Paul and Bill Morris, and sister Madge Edington. She is survived by children Jimmy James of Pocahontas, Legrand and wife Vi James of St. Louis, MO, Bobby James of Hardy, Mary James of St. Louis, and Joyce James of Pocahontas. 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Children's Home, Inc; 5515 Walcott Rd; Paragould, AR. 72450. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Jon Fears officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to service Wednesday from 10-11:00 a.m.
