Obituary

Bay- Berl Franklin Watts, 95, passed away December 3, 2017 at the St. Bernard Medical center.
He was born July 14, 1922 in Bowman to the late Charlie Watts and Esther Burton Watts.
Mr. Watts proudly served his country in the Army and was a combat medic in World War II. He lived all his live in the Bay community and was an avid baseball fan. He was a retired as a factory worker from singer furniture and retired from Lincoln manufacturing. He loved his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by a son, Greg Watts (Robin) of Jonesboro; a daughter, Karen Allen (Bill) of Bay; a sister, Betty Webb of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Hickman Watts and eleven siblings, Walter Watts, Bob Morrison, Phillip Morrison, Oscar Morrison, Edgar Morrison, Max Morrison, Edna Wise, Mildred Jarvis, Virginia Wyse, Wanda Voyes and Lois Stamp.
A celebration of life will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with David Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.
Friends may visit the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm.
Dirk Allen, Lathan Watts, Justin Allen, Matt Pierce, Jake Vicander and Jordan Pickens will serve as pallbearers.
