Caraway - Berdie Louise Harris, 95, a precious, faithful, loving Christian, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, after a wonderful life of living and loving well, left this earthly home to go to her eternal home with her precious Jesus on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, Tx.
Born May 13, 1928 to William Robert and Emma "Emmie" Virginia Wagner, who have preceded her in death as well as all her siblings, Everley, Kittie, Truman, Arvel, Tuler Mae, and Harold.
Berdie is survived by three children, Ronald E. Harris and wife Judy, Connie S. Kendrick and husband Jim, and Virginia "Ginny" A. Dunkerson and husband Eddie; four grandchildren, Angela, Jimmy, Kelly, and Shawna; ten great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Thomas, Cole, Mackenzie, Neely, Katie, Clay, Kayla, Kara Lynn, and Karissa; eight great-great-grandchildren, Dalton, Keilei, Kaden, Zoie, Rhett, Casey, Karlie, and Cade.
A celebration of her life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Caraway with Pastor Rick Stevens officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial following at the Monette Memorial Cemetery in Monette under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
We, her family, thank all of the many who so lovingly cared and or prayed for her as she transitioned from this earthly home to her eternal home with her Jesus. She truly lived and loved well. We know Jesus has said to her, "Well done My good and faithful servant. Welcome Home."
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Adcock, Bobby Barker, Terry Couch, John Starnes, Roger Williams and Paul Martin.
Lasting memorials may be sent to Caraway First Baptist Church.
