Weiner- Belva Huber Senteney, daughter of Franklin R. and Mary Woodworth Huber, passed away on December 22, 2016 at Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House. She enjoyed living at St. Bernard's Village for the previous two years.
She was born December 10, 1917 on her grandfather\u0027s buffalo farm in Weiner.
Belva graduated from Weiner High School in 1935. She was honored at Weiner\u0027s last homecoming for being the oldest graduate in attendance.
In 1937 she married Chester Senteney and became a farmer's wife. They were blessed with sixty-one beautiful years of marriage. The family farm was always very important to her. She could not have been more proud of her grandson for taking over the farm.
Belva and Chester were both charter members of Weiner Christian Church and remained faithful members their entire lives. They spent their leisure time fishing and traveling many winters to Florida. She will be remembered as a selfless Christian woman, a true lady, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Daisy Matthews (Joe); grandson, Scott Matthews (Susan), and great-granddaughter, Megan Matthews (Allen Turner) all of Weiner; a first cousin, Juanita Huber Keller as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Senteney; a daughter, Martha Senteney; a brother Robert Huber, and a sister, Daisy Anna Ford.
A visitation for friends and family will be held at Weiner Christian Church on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am with a funeral service at 11:30 am with Ray Keller officiating. Private interment at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
