Mrs. Belinda Rene Wallin Smith, of Harrisburg, departed this life Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 56. She was born July 26, 1958 in Lepanto, the daughter of John Thomas Wallin and Betty Isbell Wallin. Belinda married Kenny Smith on October 10, 1992 and they enjoyed 22 years together. She was a retired Insurance Representative, having worked 12 years with Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Memphis and 5 years with Aetna. Belinda was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg. If you knew Belinda, you know that she possessed a huge heart and enjoyed taking care of the needs of others. She was truly a giver. She was preceded in death by her father, John Thomas Wallin. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Smith of the home, her mother, Betty Wallin of Harrisburg, one daughter, Carmon Skillern of Harrisburg, two brothers, Tommy Wallin and Paul Wallin, both of Harrisburg, three step-sisters, Sherri Foster, Melissa Elrod and Jessica McFall, all of Lepanto, and one step-brother, Michael Elrod of Montana. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2015, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Terry Tacker officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Armstrong, James Owens, Derrial Armstrong, Harold Mullins, Steve Porter, and Joey McClanahan. Mike Miller will serve as honorary pallbearer. Those wishing to send memorials are asked to consider Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg.
