Gladewater, Texas- Beatrice Johnson, 93, passed away at her residence Thursday, December 21, 2017.

She was born January 12, 1924 in Algoa to the late Herman and Lula LaRue Sandusky. She was a homemaker and had retired from St. Bernards Medical Center after fourteen years of service. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her children, William "Dub" Johnson (Linda) of Jonesboro, Bonnie Johnson of Gladewater, Dan Johnson of Jonesboro and Fred Johnson (Paula) of Pecos, Texas; a brother, Arlie Sandusky (Zelma) of Doniphan, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Lola Lanier; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Johnson and two brothers and three sisters.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Axton and Rev. Kenneth O'Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
