Pocahontas- Barbara Ambertine Million, 81, passed away January 21, 2019 at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas.
Barbara was born on May 28, 1937 in Pocahontas, AR to Amburs Henry "A.H." and Mary Ella Wagner Million. As a basketball player at PHS for 4 years, captain her senior year, she had an average score of 24.9 per game along with being a cheerleader. She was Miss Oklahoma City in 1962 and received the Who's Who Greater Oklahoma City in 1965. Barbara was involved in the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Women's Gridiron Club, and was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rural Lavelle Million; sisters, Mildred Cameron Snyder; Gladys Winebaugh, Pauline Conner, and Mary Jane Kellett.
She is survived by brother, Hamil (Shirley) Million of Jonesboro; sister, Virginia Million Hogan of Pocahontas; lifelong partner, Richard Hillemeyer of Eufaula, OK; brother-in-law, Russell Winebaugh of Pocahontas; along with nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on February 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at First Free Will Baptist Church with Nelson Henderson officiating. Arrangements under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
