Barbara Ann (Woodmansee) Hovell went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2026, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, AR.

Barbara was born in Chilo, Ohio on August 3, 1939. She graduated from Felicity-Franklin High School, Class of 1957, and studied at the University of Cincinnati. She had been a real estate agent in Ohio and Alabama. After retiring from real estate, she was in retail sales and was a manager at an Antique Mall in Daphne, AL.

She moved to Pocahontas, AR in 2014 to be near her sister. She was a member of First Assembly of God Pocahontas, AR.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Howard Albert Woodmansee and Helen Eileen Woodmansee, her brothers Kenneth H. Woodmansee, Charles E. Woodmansee, David Penn Woodmansee, and her son Samuel A. Hovell, III.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Jennifer Hovell Faust (Doug) of Hammond, LA, her grandson Reuben Tucker Faust (Heidi) of Mandeville, LA, her sister Diane Whaley of Maynard, AR, her cousin who is like a sister, Brenda Marksberry Logan of Mt. Orab, OH, and her constant companion, Dallas Salyards of Pocahontas, AR. And the many members of Dallas’s family who became her extended family in Arkansas.

Memorial visitation will be held March 28, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 am with the service to begin at 11:00 am with Terry Miller officiating. All services will be held at Pocahontas First Assembly of God, 605 S Park St., Pocahontas, AR.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or Pocahontas First Assembly of God Church.
