Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Ann Dean, of Harrisburg, departed this life on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, at the age of 81.
She was born June 3, 1939, the daughter of Stanton Owens and Bessie Barton Owens.
Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg and graduated from Harrisburg High School in . She retired from the Arkansas Department of Human Services after 16 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, where she had been a resident for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmy Dean, her daughter Lisa Simmons, and three brothers.
She is survived by two sisters, Betty Hinds of Southaven, MS and Mary Jo Crouch of Harrisburg, one brother, Ray Owens of Fisher, three grandchildren, Lorrie Kain Bogard of Harrisburg, Michael Kain of Harrisburg and Sara Boyd Simmons of Marked Tree, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bolivar Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
