Mrs. Barbara Foust of Oquawka, IL, formerly of Harrisburg, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 of pneumonia after a brief stay at the University of Iowa Hospital, at the age of 78. She was born May 8, 1938 in the Whitehall community south of Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Sidney Parker and Essie Faulkner Parker. Barbara and her husband Lloyd grew up near each other in Harrisburg, AR and were married in 1955. In 1974, they moved to Illinois, where Barbara worked for the Federal Land Bank in Aledo for 32 years. Barbara lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She loved making food for friends, but mostly nourished others through her generosity of spirit, optimism, and perseverance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Woodrow Parker, Ramona McLin, Juanita Winters, Carlos Parker (Maxine), Titus Parker, and Cecil Parker. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Foust, and daughter, Delane David, of Westchester, IL. She is further survived by one brother, Sidney "Happy" Parker (Clara Jean) of Harrisburg, AR. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the many gifts that she brought to us. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home in Harrisburg, AR. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Burial will be at the Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery following the funeral.
