Barbara Aileen Duff, 81, passed away on July 31, 2026. Born on February 19, 1945, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Ray and Verna Ward, Barbara lived a full and purposeful life defined by faith, determination, and a deep devotion to her family.

She spent her childhood in Pocahontas before building a life that carried her across the country. Barbara lived for 23 years in the St. Louis, Missouri area, followed by 15 years in Bentonville, Arkansas. She spent her retirement years — 19 of them — in Frisco, Texas. Throughout her life she remained a woman of strong Christian faith, and she was a devoted member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.

Barbara was a graduate of Pocahontas High School and went on to a varied and accomplished career as a business owner, in retail management, and as an information-technology professional with Walmart. She was goal-oriented and determined in everything she pursued, with a passion for interior design and an eye for making a house a home.

Above all, Barbara was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was married to her husband, Larry Duff, for 63 years. She helped shape the moral character of her family and was always there to help her loved ones persevere through life's challenges. Her strength, her faith, and her steadfast presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Larry Duff; her son, Scott Duff; her grandchildren, Jordan Duff and Zachary Duff; and her brother, Tommy Ward.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Verna Ward; her brothers, Gene Ward and Alvin Ward; and her sister, Yvonne Phillips.

A graveside service will be held at Ingram Cemetery in Maynard, Arkansas, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, where she will be laid to rest.
