Avalee Mary Dickson -Glbfh's Obituary
Jonesboro- Avalee Mary Dickson, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
She was born October 16, 1925 in Lawrence County to the late Harvey and Edith Aldridge Meadows. Mrs. Dickson worked for many years at Citizen's Bank and was past president of the St. Bernards Medical Center's Auxiliary. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and his wife, James and Candice Dickson of Jonesboro; a nephew, Jerry Bobbitt Jr. of Lake City and a niece, Susan Austin of Jonesboro.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Dickson and a sister, Delores Bobbitt.
A service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Association.
