Aubrey Peterson, 83, of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, February 07, 2010. He was born December 10, 1926, a son of George and Della Brewer Peterson. Aubrey was a veteran, serving his country in both the Army and the Air Force. He was a member of Pyburn Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Odessa Peterson, a brother, George Manuel (Buck) Peterson, and sister, Eula Peterson Hannaford. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Freeda and Bill Bailey of Pocahontas, a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Cinna Peterson of Cabot, a brother and sister-in-law, George Jace and Avis Peterson of Pocahontas, two sisters, Reola Langer of Jordan, Minnesota and Lucille Stevens of Deming, New Mexico, a sister-in-law, Berniece Stockwell of Pocahontas, four grandchildren, Lisa DeYoung of Pocahontas, Brian Bailey of Jonesboro, Jennifer Peterson of Jacksonville and Ryan Peterson of New York City, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors (many of whom knew him as "Pete") and a dear friend, Wanda Shore of Pocahontas. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Dr. Grant Killion and Mitch Walton officiating. Burial will follow to Janes Cemetery at Ravenden Springs. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Promberger Traw Post #4556 will perform military honors.
