Arvis E. Connor, 77, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1938 to the late Emerson Connor and Dessie Mae Shaffer in Walnut Ridge. Mr. Connor was a truck driver and proudly worked for Hytrol until he retired in 2001. He was a member of Poplar Valley Free Will Baptist Church. He loved to travel and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Stacy Connor, 3 brothers; J.C. McGinty, David Connor and Joe Connor. He is survived by his wife Diana Connor of the home, three daughters; Joanna Bonds and husband Rick of Cabot, Bobbie Holder and husband Kenny of Bono and Betty Ligons and husband Michael of Ellsinore, Mo, a son; Scott Cloninger and wife Carol of Fredericktown, MO, twelve grandchildren; Tiffany Bonds, Tommi Brasher, Taylor Connor, Sabrah Futrell, Whitney Busenbark, Andy Ligons, Allison Nix, Tim Cloninger, Kevin Cloninger, Sandy Ward, Kathy Hahn and Ben Knox, eight great-grandchildren; Brian, Jordan, Tyler, Jacob, Emma, Paisley, Piper and Jacob, four brothers; Wayne Augustine and wife Patty Ann, Bill Augustine and wife Jackie and Theodore Augustine and Eldon Augustine and wife Gail, a sister; Lou Robinette and husband William as well as several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. A celebration of life will be held 2 pm Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Rick Hart, Bro Paul Bean and Byron Griffey officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery in Bono. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 Memorials can be made to Poplar Valley Free Will Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Skip Hogue, Kevin Cloninger, Andy Ligons, Trent Brewington, Josh Augustine and Elmer McGinty. Honorary pallbearers will be Kim Imboden, Clay Imboden, Fred Cummingham, Herb Whittingham, Tom Wheeler, Jerry Baker, the men's Sunday school class at Poplar Valley and Employees of Imboden Brothers.
