Obituary

Pocahontas- Arah Gladys Ford, 90, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Five Rivers Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1919 to the late JB \u0026 Lena French. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her family, beautiful things and people. Arah was preceded in death by her husband, Taid Ford, three brothers Leo, Dean and Joe French and a sister, Marie. Survivors include sons, Sonny Ford, Jerry (Janice) Ford and daughter, Lisa (Steve) Pace. Six grandchildren; Barry (Becky) Ford, Brandi (Jade) Wells, Kyle (Robin) Ford, Denee (Mike) Ellis, Riley and Kadra Pace. She adored her great grandchildren; Dylan, Jace and Brett Ford, Ashlyn and Brynlee Ellis. One brother Jimmy (Gale) French of Walnut Ridge and Very special friends, Elaine Newsom and Genelle Scott. A celebration of her life will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Nelson Henderson, Ben Scott, and Melvin Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8. Pallbearers include: Barry Ford, Kyle Ford, Riley Pace, Bob French, Dennis French, Mike French, Mark French, John French, Darren French and Jade Wells. Honorary Pallbearers include: Larry Hinkle, J.C. Haynes, Terry Tribble, Randy Scott, and Frank Dean. Those wishing to leave a lasting memorial are asked to consider First Free Will Baptist Church.
