Paragould- Anthony Lane "AJ" Johnson, 38, formerly of Jonesboro was unexpectedly taken from us and called to Heaven before his time on Saturday, April 24, 2021. He was born December 4, 1982.

AJ was a former All Star Athlete at Greene County Tech graduating in 2001. After graduating he started in construction work. He loved working with wood and building homes.

He was a loving father whose heart belonged to his children, Bryce Lane, Neeli Michelle and step-son, Zane. They were everything to him. His loving spirit will be here to guide them for the rest of their lives.

AJ never met a stranger and greeted everyone with the warmest hugs and infectious smile. He was a friend to all and will be extremely missed.

He is survived by his children; mother, Tina Demar (Frank); father, Dave Johnson all of Maderia Beach, Florida; grandmother, Arlene Breazeal of Jonesboro; grandfather, Skipper Gerstel of Memphis; siblings, Clayton, Christina and Bradley Johnson all of Florida and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel.

Service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Matt Smith officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Finch Cemetery on Greene Road 715 off 358.

Pallbearers will be Brad King, Nick Lashley, Bobby Messer, Ben Cox, Austin Bruce, Adam Brothers and Larry Ludick.

We ask all attendees to wear masks.
