Obituary

Annie Austin Frierson Brown of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, began her journey at College Hill, Mississippi, a small farming community near Oxford, Mississippi, July 25, 1932 to Robert Lynn Frierson Sr. and Mattie Lillian Pettis Frierson. Annie was the oldest of three siblings.

In 1950, Annie went to St. Louis, Missouri to start her career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. After 34 years she retired in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She and her husband lived the remaining of their years in Ravenden Springs. She attended church at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Attica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, George David, brother, Robert Lynn Frierson Jr., her husband of 38 years, Arthur Loyd Brown, and son, Robert Brown.

Annie left this life to begin her eternal life with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 6, 2020 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Lillian Vandergriff of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas; daughter, Tammy Touchton (Henry) of Pelican, Louisiana; son, Bruce Phillips (Kathryn) of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas; granddaughter, Michelle Spakes (Mack) of Joshua, Texas; grandsons, Mark Allen Touchton (Hannah) of Grand Cane, Louisiana, William H. Touchton (Madyson) of Pelican, Louisiana; great grandsons, Colton Spakes (Courtney) of Joshua, Texas, Jace H. Touchton of Pelican, Louisiana; great granddaughter, Annistyn Touchton of Grand Cane, Louisiana; two great great granddaughters; along with nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at McNabb Funeral Home, Pocahontas, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Bruial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Pocahontas, Arkansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Jeremy Bundren, Rev. Robert Lynn Frierson III, and Hampton (Peanut) Owens.
Pallbearers will be Ben Frierson, Maddox Frierson, Chris Frierson, Colton Spakes, mark Allen Touchton and William H. Touchton.

Her smile and kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
