Obituary

Mrs. Anna M. Davis (Tex) Findley, died February 1, 2014, in Jonesboro, at the age of 88. She was born September 11, 1925 in Dewitt, AR, to the late Court and Maude Davis. In 1940 she moved with her family to Weiner, AR, where she graduated in 1944 with honors from Weiner High School. After graduation, she went to St. Louis, MO to work in a Defense Plant during WW II. When the war was over, she moved to Jonesboro and began her very successful career in business, specializing in Real Estate, Finance and Insurance. She met and married the love of her life Roy. They moved to Paragould and owned and operated a place called Roy's for many years. Ann was a breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her sisters, Frances Cohoon of Weiner, Jeanette Lamberth of Jonesboro and Paula Beard of Sulphur Rock, AR, one brother C.P. Davis of Battle Creek, MI, one brother and sister in law James and Sarah Franklin of Gurdon, AR and a host of nieces and nephews and other friends. Ann was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. At her request there will be no visitation or services. Burial will be private and under the direction of Gregg Langford-Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Pallbearers will be Dean Lamberth, Jodie Thompson, Ronnie Sairls, Jimmy Franklin, Randall Stroope and Blane Baugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Beard and Kenny Cline.
