Obituary

Pocahontas- Anna Lue (Daniels) Cook, 76, passed away on April 3, 2018 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Anna was born December 10, 1941 in Imboden, AR to the late Sylvanus Daniels II and Irene C. (Wilson) Daniels. She was raised by her mother, Irene Daniels and by her grandmother, Mary Wilson in the Clear Springs Community.

Anna graduated from Sloan Hendrix School in Imboden in 1959. She continued her education at Arkansas State University where she received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Elementary Education. She taught 3rd grade at Black Rock for 13 years. Anna married the love of her life, Ralph Cook Jr in 1960. He passed from this life in 2016 after 56 years of marriage.

Anna is survived by a daughter, Tammy A. Spann and her husband, Michael Spann; grandson, Stone Spann; brother, Jack Daniels and his wife, Margarett; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Anna was the author of 4 historical books. She also wrote articles for local newspapers and magazines. She enjoyed quilting and had several generations of quilts from her family. Anna was of the Baptist belief.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 3-4 pm at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral immediately following at 4 pm with Joshua Dement officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
