Anna Lois Chesser, 83, of Pocahontas passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Randolph Home.

She was born January 27, 1940 in Eva, Alabama to the late Earnest and Kathleen Wiggleton Tunstill.  She worked as a cook on the river boats.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Kathleen Tunstill; husband, Lehman Chesser; three sisters, Maedell Evans, Earnestine Ray, and Peggy Johnson; and brother, Ernie Tunstill.

She is survived by two sons, Scott Chesser of Brookland and Greg (Mikki) Chesser of Pocahontas; five grandchildren, A.J. Chesser, Tyler Chesser, Corey Chesser, Matthew Johnson, and Molly Johnson; sister, Brenda (Tony) Haymes of Maynard; brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Tunstill of Fennville, MI; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition.  A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at Chesser Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jeff Nelson, Shane Halliburton, Chris Halliburton, and Tracy Chesser.
