Jonesboro- Ann Elizabeth Davis, 83, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro. Mrs. Davis was born December 3, 1929 in Clarkton, Missouri to the late Franciscus Antonius "Frank" and Freda Mae Pearson Michels, later moved to the McCormick Community near Trumann before raising her family and living the remainder of her life in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and a former employee at the Craighead Nursing Center. Ann accepted Jesus Christ into her heart at the age of 13, was baptized at the Baptist Church in Clarkton, was a former member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Jonesboro for many years and currently a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She is survived by a son, Gary Davis of Little Rock; two daughters, Judy Davis Duncan and husband Jim of Jonesboro and Lisa Davis Leatherwood and husband Jim Bob of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Mark Davis and wife Tammie of Little Rock, Elizabeth Ann Duncan Pickering and husband John of Jonesboro, Aaron Davis and Jessica Leatherwood both of Orlando; four great-grandchildren, Mason and Abigail Davis of Little Rock and Jack and Luke Pickering of Jonesboro. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ardell Davis in 1979; a sister, Mary Alice Taylor; two brothers, Ray Franklin and baby boy Michels. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro with funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel. There will be a family graveside service at 10:00 am Wednesday at the Philadelphia Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Duncan, John Pickering, Mark Davis, Rick Fleetwood, Jim Bob Leatherwood, Benny Futrell, Aaron Davis and Mason Davis. A very special thanks to Dr. Revel Porter, Dr. Doug McGlaughlin and the entire staff at the Craighead Nursing Center for the special care she received.
