Jonesboro- Anita "Peepsie" Caples, 81, passed away on Friday, March 25th after a hard fight at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Peepsie was born on April 8, 1940 and grew up in Black Oak. She was of Methodist belief. She had a very small family but was always surrounded by people that loved her and the best of friends. She retired after many successful years of service at General Electric in Jonesboro. She made friends wherever she went and brought a good attitude and joke with her too. She loved shopping at Dillards and Kroger, junking at yard sales, playing cards with her buddies, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was such a special person and our stories and memories of her are endless.
Anita joined her father, Edward Michael; her mother, Ione; husband, Herschel Caple; sister, Jean Gorham in heaven.
She leaves behind a daughter, Jerilyn Bowman (Tim Ellis); a granddaughter and grandson, Jordan and Alyn Adams; a great granddaughter whom her world revolved around, Gentry Bea Adams and a brother, Ed Michael (Kim); a sister, Easter Wallash; a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her friends, Jana Garcia, Hazel Ann Bowers, Robin Nichols, Annece Carter, David Grubb, Judy Dudley, and Christina Adams will each miss her dearly.
A visitation will be Tuesday, March 29th from noon until 1:30 p.m. at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Dena Decker officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers, Alyn Adams, Thomas Adams, Tim Ellis, Timothy Ellis, Ronnie Bowman, and Mark Bowman.
