Monette- Alvin Glen Pittman, 94, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Monette Manor.

Curly was born December 18, 1928 in Leachville to the late James and Zula Mae Davidson Pittman. He proudly served in the United States Navy. After the Navy, he worked at Dr. Pepper for two years. He farmed in the Monette area for fifty years. He enjoyed duck hunting, gardening and he loved his children and grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Virginia "Jenny" Pittman; his brothers, James Pittman, Lloyd Pittman, Bobby Pittman, Murray Pittman, Billy Pittman and Larry Pittman.

He is survived by his children, Cathy Douglas (Tracy), Stephen Pittman (Shannon) and Jeffrey Pittman; grandchildren, Bridget Harrison, Keith Sexton, Brett Sexton, Katelyn Bruce, Krista Cater, Tristan Pittman, Kirsten Pittman, Taylor Pittman and Lindsey Stagner; great-grandchildren, Corbin Sexton, Raelynn Sexton, Emma Bruce, Maggie Bruce, Kaleb Dublin, Kameron Dublin, Logan Harrison and Jasman Harrison; sisters, Shirley McMurray and Joyce Owens; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Cardwell Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
