Alta Mae Hill (Gipson), 73, of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away November 3 ^rd , 2021.  She was born August 14, 1948 in Wartis, Arkansas the daughter of James Ray Gipson and Georgia Evelyn Davis (Gann).  Alta graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1966.  Alta worked at Gunite Corporation in Rockford, Illinois and retired after 30 years.  After retiring, Alta moved back to Pocahontas to be closer to family.  She loved traveling with her dear companion Euell (Buster) Weems.  Her favorite place to visit was the Smoky Mountains.

Alta is survived by her daughter. Cherie Hill-Fowler (David); grandchildren, Gabriella M. Solis and Sergio A. Solis; half-brothers, Johnny Davis and Lee Davis; many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents; brothers Floyd (Jerry) Gipson and Rodger Gipson; her best friend Eileen Veer (Foster).

The family would like to thank Baisch Nursing Center for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 12 ^th 5-7pm at McNabb Funeral Home, 2129 N. Park Street, Pocahontas, Arkansas.  A private burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery on Saturday November 13th in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas.
