Obituary

Waldenburg - Alma Joan Wolf, 97, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was a resident at The Chateau of Lawton, Oklahoma.

She was born on December 22, 1922 to the late Otto and Mattye Rennicke Ruegger. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg where she had served as a Sunday School teacher, LWML member, Confirmation teacher, Braille worker and sang in the choir for many years. She was a teacher for 35 years with the Weiner School District and continued tutoring for several years after retirement because of her love for children.

She is survived by a daughter and her husband Gail and Sam Coffman of Lawton, OK; two granddaughters, Carla Heimbrock of Elgin, OK and Melanie and husband Chris Foster of Tuttle OK; and four great-grandchildren, Drew Heimbrock, Xander Heimbrock, Sterling Foster and Skyler Foster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Sonny "Wolf; brothers, Otto Ruegger and Lester Ruegger; sisters, Lillian Downs and Eva Lea Schlief.

A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Monday at Waldenburg Cemetery with Rev. Joel Krogen officiating under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children Research Hospital.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
