Monette- Alma Ruth Marshall, 86, departed this life on Friday, November 4, 2016.
She was born August 21, 1930 in Lake City to the late Rudy Marshall and Lucille Ishmael Marshall.
Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and raising her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Marshall Sr.; a brother, Bill Ishmael; a sister, Patty "Pete" Ishmael and a son, Steve Marshall.
She is survived by her children, Billy Joe Marshall Jr. (Pam) of Houston, TX, Ginger Marshall of Monette, David Marshall (Cheryl) of Mt. Pleasant, TX and Melissa Jones (Jeremy) of Paragould; three sister. Sue Glann, Jean Carter and Judy Pheill (Richard) all of Michigan; eight grandchildren and eighteen greatgrandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Josh Parnell officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Chambers, Ricky Copeland Terry Edwards, Larry Ladd, Tommy Sweatnam and Hunter Petty.
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that you consider Monette Church of Christ.
