Mr. Allen Nathaniel Smith, Jr. of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 81.

He was born December 20, 1942, in Savannah, Georgia, the son of the late Allen Nathaniel Smith, Sr. and Lucy Price Smith.

Allen graduated high school in Savannah, GA and joined the Painter’s Union. Along with being a professional painter, he began working at Castle’s in the meat department. He was their meat man and worked there until he retired. Some of his hobbies included Karaoke and popsicle stick crafting. He lived in Harrisburg for most of his life and was loved by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Jones. 

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Miller of Harrisburg, two grandsons, Logan Miller of Rose City, MI and Landon Miller of Genesee, MI, and one niece, Lisa Marie Peterson of Harrisburg.

There was no formal service and Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg handled all arrangements.
