Marked Tree- Alice Fay Wright, 78, passed away November 4, 2017 at home.
She was born May 25, 1939 in Bunney to Doyle Ervin Barrett and Alice Adams Barrett.
She was a former employee of American greetings, the Shoe Factory, the Singer Company. She was also a cook at the Marked Tree School. She enjoyed picking cotton, gardening, canning, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a member of Rivervale Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Edwin Wright of the home; a daughter, Rhonda Joyce Pollard (Joey) of Black Oak; two sons, Ronnie Dale Thomas (Debra) and Gaylon Barrett (Julia) both of Caraway; a sister, Norma Jean Brooks of Holland, MI; a brother, Dale DeWayne Barrett (Joyce) of Caraway; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by five brothers, five sisters, a grandson, and a great-grandson.
A celebration of her life will be 10 am Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Rivervale Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Stafford officiating. Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Visitation will be Monday at the church from 6-8 pm.
Tony Cerda, Chris Maddox, Timothy Barrett, Matt Smith, Corey Thomas, Tony Turner and Keith Turner will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Derrick Barrett.
