Alice Whitney of Harrisburg departed this life Friday, January 21 st , 2022 at the age of 89 at Saint Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was born September 1 st , 1932 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Lena Graham.

Alice was a perfectionist which helped her in her career as a beautician. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed fellowship with the ladies at church in their women's class. When she was able she enjoyed cooking and doing needle point. In her later life Alice was a resident at Saint Elizabeth's Place where she spent most of her time reading.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews. Steve Eastin, Kim Eastin, Jimmy DeVries, Linda Tubbs, and Lorrie DeVries.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Whitney, two sisters, Betty Eastin and Bonnie Kennon, two brothers, Wilburn Graham and Brandy Turner, and two nephews, Russel DeVries and Leo "Butch" DeVries.

Funeral Services are in the care of Gregg Weston Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Chapel service will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at Gregg Weston Funeral home before the service. Interment will be at Harrisburg Memorial Park.
