Jonesboro- Alice Faye Finch, 73, formerly of Black Oak passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at her home.
She was born October 31, 1944 in Lake City to the late Eugene and Marie Thomas Gardner. Mrs. Alice graduated from Lake City High School and Arkansas State University. She taught several years in Northeast Arkansas Schools. She attended Refuge Baptist Church in Lake City. She enjoyed to antique shop and was active in a bowling league for many years. She loved her family especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She was survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Henry Dean Finch; a son, Jeff Finch (April) of Monette; two grandchildren, Madison Hawkins (Heath) of Leachville and Ty Finch of Monette; two great-grandsons, Slade Hawkins and Sawyer Hawkins.
A celebration of her life will be 3:00 pm Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Jake Gilley officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ronnie Qualls, Mike Hook, Larry Dunkerson, Steve Suber, Wade Spikes and Wyeth Spikes. Honorary pallbearers are the Lake City High School Class of 1962.
Lasting memorials may be sent to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
