Monette- Alice Jean Bowden, 83, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She was born September 14, 1939 in Galveston, Texas to the late Carlos Clifford and Ola May Stephens Gallett. Miss Alice, known as Nanny to all her family was a beloved member of the Monette Church of Christ. She had a heart filled with love for the Lord, her family and countless friends, all of whom loved her in return. She loved laughter, traveling, nature and being surrounded by family. We will miss her warm hugs and beautiful heart.

She was survived by her husband, Harold Bowden; her children, Suzanne Williams of Monette and Brian Bowden (Kim Self) of Blair, OK; grandchildren, Chad Williams (Elizabeth) and Katelyn Despain (Brendan) all of Lake City and Tosh Bolar of Monette; great-grandchildren, Kanyon Despain, Hoyt Tharp and Madalyn Tharp.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Gallett; a brother, Buddy Gallett and son-in-law, Jackie Williams.

A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Monette Church of Christ with Josh Parnell officiating.

The burial will be private under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home.
