Jonesboro- Mrs. Alfreda K. Robinson, 89, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Craighead Nursing Center. She was born July 20, 1926 in Lake City to the late Aaron and Kate McDaniel Turman. Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She attended the Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Shirley Lopez of Jonesboro and Gary Robinson and wife, Valerie of Citrus Heights, California; three grandchildren, Kim Adams (Steve), Kari Butler and Dana Faridi (Amir) and six great-grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Kaitlyn Adams, Brandon Butler, Kelsey Butler, Gavin Faridi and Garrison Faridi, She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, M.V. Robinson; three brothers and a son-in-law, Joe Lopez. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 29, 2016 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Jolly officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service, Friday at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Fred Turman, Sammie McGuire, Steve Simpson, Hunter Simpson, Grant Simpson and Steve Labrot. Lasting memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
