Blytheville- Alan Conway Edwards, 53, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born May 12, 1961 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a longtime resident of Blytheville. He worked as a plumber with his father since the age of 14 and was owner and operator of Alan Edwards' Plumbing. Alan will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather with a kind heart, loved fishing and gave back to people when he could. He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Angela and Casey Besharse of Monette; his mother, Louise Edwards of Blytheville; a son and his wife, Alex and Monica Edwards of Gosnell; a sister, Cindy Davies of Mobile, Al; six grandchildren, Carmen Besharse, Austin Besharse, Demre Besharse, Kaelyn Edwards, Brooklyn Edwards and Starlyn Dunkin; close friends, Dorothy Grissom and Kay Marr. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Edwards and a brother, Ronnie Edwards. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm, Friday August 15, 2014 at Monette Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Bird officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
