Mrs. Addie Bell Ball Long, of Harrisburg, departed this life Sunday, October 4, 2015, in Jonesboro, at the age of 91. She was born February 25, 1924 in Athens, Alabama, the daughter of Luther Ball and Brentie Graham Ball. Bell was a homemaker and a faithful member of the County Line Church of Christ for many years until her health failed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Elmer Long, two sons, Eddie Long and Bryon Long, a grandson, Johnathan Long, a son-in-law, Jimmy Scroggins, five brothers, Prentis, Liston, Benton, Howard, and Charlie. She is survived by two daughters, Velma Annette Scroggins and Deb (Shane) Peeler, both of Harrisburg, seven sons, Phillip (Debbie) Long of Jonesboro, Gordon (Patti) Long of Poplar Bluff, MO, William (Shirley) Long of Trumann, Wesley Long of Trumann, James (Donna) Long of Dexter, MO, Kirk Long of Harrisburg and Marlin (Etta) Long of Harrisburg, two sisters, Naomi Garner and Wilma Dean Adams, 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Allen Ashlock officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday evening, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Luke Peeler, Zach Long, Heath Owens, Matt Smith, Jason Long, Chris Scroggins. Honorary Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews, Odell Everhart, Cletis Collins, Max Jones, Jackie Winningham, Chall Hill, Todd Brown. Even though Mrs. Long dearly loved flowers, she loved children more.
