Obituary
Jonesboro- Abbie Ruth Phillips, 84, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019.
She was born February 18, 1935 in Tulot to the late Tom and Katie Lou Malone Vickers. She will be remembered as a loving wife to the late Gordon Phillips and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time cooking, fishing and camping with friends and family. Abbie Ruth worked in sales at Dillard's and retired after twenty-nine years of enjoyable employment.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Lindberg and Calvin Vickers.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Phillips (Nancy) of El Dorado and David Phillips (Delories) of Jonesboro; a sister, Carolyn Tosh (Doug) of Benton; grandchildren, Christy Winget of El Dorado, Tiffaney Phillips of Nashville and Bianca Phillips of Memphis; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Golmon, Jordan Golmon and Jessica Nipper of El Dorado and Adeline Rudolfs of Nashville and a great-great-grandchild, Asher Nipper.
A casual gathering of friends and family will be from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W Matthews Ave in Jonesboro.
