Obituary for Geneva Inez Sills

Mrs. Geneva Inez Sills, 90, of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born November 3, 1928 in Pleasant Plains, AR, to Jess and Gertrude Holcumb) Smith.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Sills, her parents, Jess and Gertrude Smith, her step-mother, Allie Smith, a sister, Betty Smith, two brothers, Travis Smith and Jay Smith.
Geneva worked for years as a cook for sauzer's Waffle Shop on Schererville, IN and sold Avon where she was a member of the President's Club. Her hobbies were gardening where she spent countless hours with her husband in their acre garden. She also loved to fish and was amazing at fishing. She was also very active in church at East Chicago Assembly of God, serving as teacher, secretary, and any other position that required her skills. In her later years and after the loss of her husband, her health failed and she moved to Arkansas where she lived with her children for the past 8 years.
Geneva is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Goff and her husband, Herbert of Harrisburg, AR, two sons, Larry Wayne Sills and Timothy Martin Sills, also of Harrisburg, AR, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Heaven gained one of the sweetest persons you would ever meet. Everyone who met her loved and admired her. We will miss her greatly and long for the day when we will be reunited.
Services were private.
